I have always been pretty sentimental – saving car

I have always been pretty sentimental - saving cards from birthdays and random notes from my mom.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love having things that used to belong to Grammy, like her typewriter and Polaroid cameras. I have Grandpas old camera with his name engraved on the top, and I framed a piece of paper with Great Grandma Fisher's handwriting that I found in her sewing bench.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This picture might just look like a regular ole crochet hook, but to me it's so much more. When I first started crocheting Grammy gave me a set of hooks that belonged to Great Grandma Fisher. This is one that was in the set & it is by far my most used and most favorite hook. It has dents and scratches and my thumb has worn off the paint in one spot. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To me it's no different than having a favorite pen, and I can't help but think Great Grandma is smiling down every time I pick it up 💗

I hate to admit it, but I feel most relaxed when I am working on checking things off my to-list. I struggle to relax doing nothing...I often find myself just thinking of all the things I should be working on.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But you know what? I love what I do. It doesn't always feel like work. At the end of the day, I work hard because I want to live the kind of life where I'm making the rules. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
